The sector of Home Health Care in the District of Columbia and nationally is at a crossroads. There is a recognition that Home Health Care is one of the fastest growing sector in the field of Health Care in the United States. U.S. Citizens are electing to stay in their homes as opposed to going into Long-Term Facilities at a more increasing rate from prior years. It is Our Mission to support & assist our members in the delivery of high value, home care services in our communities through advocacy, education, and services.

The goals of DCHHA are:

• Improving the availability and quality of home care, through a unified advocacy for providers and recipients of home health care services in the District of Columbia.
• Furthering improvements in the harmonized delivery of Home Health Care Services through enhanced communications amongst providers – members of the Association.
• Improving consumers’ and public knowledge and awareness of home health care services by promoting excellent service standards and a strong public image of the home health care industry.
